PUBLIC RALLY

Location: The Apollo Theatre, Ardwick Green, Manchester

The Not For Sale Coalition comprising the Independent Manchester United Supporters Association, Shareholders United and the fanzines Red Issue, United We Stand and Red News, have called for a huge anti-Glazer public rally on Monday 30th May at 3pm. The rally will take place at the Apollo theatre in Ardwick, Manchester.

All Manchester United fans are urged to attend this meeting in order to discuss ways in which the overwhelming opposition to the takeover of Manchester United by Malcolm Glazer can be channelled.

Amongst those who will be present at the meeting are:

Nick Towle - Chairman of Shareholders United
David Conn – esteemed journalist with expertise in football finance
Tony Lloyd MP
Kris Stewart – Chairman of AFC Wimbledon

Other personalities central to the fans’ campaign are currently being approached to either attend or send a message of support. Amongst these are FC Barcelona’s president Juan Laporta – who is a long time friend of IMUSA. Sr Laporta’s presence is yet to be confirmed, though organisers are hopeful that despite other commitments he will be able to attend.

NIKE AMNESTY

Manchester United fans have pledged to boycott Manchester United’s commercial partners whose money Malcolm Glazer is seeking to exploit following his de-listing of the plc. As a demonstration of this pledge to boycott all goods sold by the likes of Nike and Vodafone, United fans are urged to bring all manner of Nike wares to the public rally at the Apollo, where an amnesty will be in place allowing fans to “surrender” Nike products.

The intention is for these products then to be given to charity, thereby returning them to the countries of their origin and benefiting the very people who initially manufactured them.
