"It's amazing how two careers have gone in such different directions.
"It's just a privilege to have him as a friend as much as playing in the same team as him.
"When my daughter is born in a few months I know I will be able to tell her one day that I played in the same team as the great Ryan Giggs. He's a credit to the game for Manchester United, himself and Wales on and off the field.
"My job is to get the ball and give it to Giggsy. I can do that, no worry."
"We have been playing together since we both started at Manchester United, we have a bond between us after all these years. We were both about 13 then and I was a centre forward playing up front then with him.
"We have grown up together, we had five years at United in the youth teams. Now it's just nice to see him again when we both play for Wales, an honour really.
"He's tried to beat me a few times in training and he just can't get round me."
