Former Manchester United manager Tommy Docherty predicts Roy Keane will have the book thrown at him at an FA disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.
YOU KNEW THIS WAS COMING DIDN'T YOU
"If he did walk away without a ban there would be hell to pay. I reckon he will need to employ Perry Mason, Ironside and Rumpole of the 'Bailey to win a let off."
Docherty says Keane is unwise to challenge the FA by appealing against two disrepute charges after revelations made in his autobiography, and added:
"He will have to tread warily if he takes on an organisation like the Football Association. "They have hit him with two charges rising from things he said in his book and you can guarantee they will bring something else into it if Keane challenges them too strongly. I think they will hammer Keane because they feel they have to make an example of him. After all the publicity if they don't there will be an uproar, and people would be saying Manchester United had got away with it again."
