The Sun reports:
‘Angry neighbours of top Man Utd stars have hit out at the bad taste of their “Footballers’ Wives” style homes. The residents are furious about players who buy houses around posh Alderley Edge, near Manchester — then knock them down to build huge mansions.
‘Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Ruud Van Nistelrooy have all moved into the area. The Edge Association, set up to protect the conservation zone, blasted “highly visible buildings of breathtaking ugliness.”
