Wolves Slap Obscenely High Asking Price on Wanted Raul Jimenez

Wolves have set an asking price of €100m (£90.25m) for forward Raul Jimenez, amid interest from Juventus and Manchester United.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have been a joy to watch since their promotion to the Premier League in 2018, with Jimenez an integral part to their success.

The 29-year-old was on the scoresheet once more on Wednesday evening, netting the winner as Wolves moved to within two points of the Champions League spots with a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.

The goal was Jimenez's 24th of the season, and his performances don't appear to have gone noticed - both Manchester United and Juventus have previously credited with an interest.

But according to Spanish news outlet AS, Wolves have no intention of parting ways with the Mexican international, and would be unwilling to sell him for anything less than €100m.

This is double the €50m that Juventus would be prepared to pay for Jimenez, with the Italian side considering offering Daniele Rugani and Federico Bernardeschi as part of a deal in order to further reduce that figure.

The forward's contract at Molineaux expires in 2023 - a deal he signed upon making his move to Wolves permanent at the back end of the 2018/19 season

Jimenez's debut season at Wolves was initially a loan from Benfica, before he joining permanently in April 2019 for £30m, making him the club's record signing.

He recently admitted that it was 'very cool' to be linked with an assortment of top European sides, but hinted that it was nothing more than gossip.

“It’s something very cool. I don’t know if they are true, they are rumours," Jimenez said. "It’s an incredible thing to be on the radar, and on the lips of those teams."

In April, 90min revealed that Wolves informed Jimenez, alongside teammates Adama Traoré and Rúben Neves, to not expect to be sold in the summer, as Wolves are intent on keeping the trio to further boost their future top four ambitions.
