Ferguson:
WOLVES REACTIONS
"Maybe I made too many changes. It was a long, hard night
for us. We didn't reach the standards we set ourselves and
we should be doing better than that. But at least we got the
three points and we usually get better as the season goes
on.”

O’Shea:
“We're a bit disappointed with the way we slacked off after
I scored - and the manager has had a little go at us. In the
last 25 minutes with (Paul) Scholes and (Ryan) Giggs coming
on I thought we would score more - but at least we got the
three points. Maybe the hype got to us, but we slacked off
and the gaffer wasn't at all happy. We had a few new players
and it'll take them time to settle, but I thought in the end
we were comfortable. Plus it was special to score at Old
Trafford. The manager joked before, `you never score for us
- you only score for Ireland. To score my first Ireland goal
at Lansdowne Road was great - and it's the same feeling to
get my first United goal at Old Trafford.”
Big Time Charlie:
“We had three great chances and played some great stuff and
they didn't create much - we're disappointed not to get the
three points. We've been disappointing in the last two games
so to come here and feel we should have got something shows
how we played. Ferguson thought he could take liberties with
his team and it nearly came unstuck. The longer the game
went on, the more we fancied our chances.”
