Wesley Sneijder to Rescue Manchester Uniteds Season

David Moyes needs to get the checkbook out if he has any realistic hope of Manchester United playing in the Champions League next season. Yes, it is that much of an abysmal reality for the Old Trafford faithful now: a top four finish is nowhere near being a guarantee for the Champions.

If you believe recent reports, then Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder will be a Manchester United player in the coming weeks, and may just be the spark that Moyes needs to ignite a serious run of form by United.

Currently lying ninth on the table, after two consecutive home defeats, the pressure on the manager as well as a number of players is beginning to mount. Failure to retain the title is one thing, but missing out on a top four finish may just see Moyes? role as manager very much short-lived and a mass exodus of players in the summer, which is likely to happen anyway.

United need a savior; Sneijder could be their man. The 29 year old playmaker has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for a while now and January seems to be the ideal time to secure his services.

Roberto Mancini, the former Man City manager and now in charge of Galatasary, whom Sneijder plays for, may prove to be the key man in whether this deal goes through or not. Would Mancini sell his star player to his former club?s biggest rivals? Who knows??
