The Sun:
Manchester United, Chelsea and Leeds are the three worst clubs in Britain for rowdy and violent fans, a survey reveals. Figures in Police Review magazine show supporters of the Premier League sides and fallen Yorkshire club Leeds were most likely to attack officers or be racially or sexually abusive.
Weekly figures collected by British Transport Police show the trio are responsible for the most amount of disorder and cops say they are running out of cash to tackle the problem.
Policing supporters costs £10million a year. The North East, which has 23 league clubs, is the area where cops face the biggest struggle with aggressive fans.
There can be just a dozen officers to deal with thousands of fans travelling to a game by train.
Supt Graham Bamford said: "A match between Bolton and Man Utd would be hugely problematic for us as there is a history between these clubs."
Spokesmen for Leeds and Chelsea declined to comment and a spokesman for Manchester United was unavailable.
