Solskjaer is ready to start his comeback from knee surgery in a reserve team outing against Aston Villa on Thursday and knows his path back into Sir Alex Ferguson's first-choice line-up will be made more hazardous by Saha's presence.
"There will always be good, new players coming to Manchester United but I like that challenge," he told Norwegian newspaper Dagbaldet.
"At the moment all I am doing is looking forward to playing again. I hope it will happen for the reserves on Thursday. My knee is getting better each day and I'm planning on playing for 45 minutes."
Saha said:
"I am a player who is not just happy after one goal, I am looking for consistency. I enjoyed my debut. When you see fans like that it is amazing. To wear the red shirt is an unbelievable feeling. It was incredible. The whole experience was unbelievable but I was also under a bit of pressure. However, I thrive on that. The pace was so much harder than at Fulham because the pitch is so big for a start. Even in training I have noticed the different speed of the game they play here. It gives you confidence to know you have amazing players around you who want to win things all the time. I can learn so much from them.”
