From The M.E.N.

"Joe Cole is one of my best mates, I went to Lilleshall with him and see him quite a lot. Sometimes we speak about things, but generally the last thing we talk about is football.

"He won't necessarily give me advice, I know what I have to do and I think he knows that."

"I think Watford wanted me for the whole season, but United would only loan me out for three months," he said.

"I wanted to come back to Watford. I enjoyed myself here last season and there are some very good players at the club."

"I've been chuffed to bits with how I've played, but it's been a step up for me and a challenge because, where with reserve team games the emphasis is on development, here it is now all about winning.

"There are a lot of players in the team who have played in the Premiership, Marcus Gayle, Neil Cox, Stephen Glass, Allan Nielsen, and I'm learning a lot from them.

"None of them have got the attitude that they've done it all - they help you out. I wouldn't say the First Division has been a culture shock, but the older pros don't like younger lads getting the better of them so physically and mentally I'm getting stronger."
