Roy Keane has highlighted the importance of Ruud van Nistelrooy being in the
starting XI for United.
WE MISS RUUD
"Do the four goals illustrate his importance to us? Yes, we all know that it's a
team game, but Ruud's record speaks for itself. He's an out-and-out goalscorer - give him four chances, he scores four goals, not a bad percentage.
"Please God he can keep it up. The likes of Ruud, there's not a lot of them about and we do miss him when he's not playing."
And for the 642nd time this season Keane has also reiterated the fact that United can no longer afford any slip ups in the league.
"But the number of points we're behind, we really can't afford any slip-ups. We're looking forward to them coming here, they will be giving it a go. Kevin Keegan is a manager I have a lot of time for.
"It has been a bit of a roller coaster lately but it's a derby match at Old Trafford and at home we do fancy our chances against most teams.
"The way they play, they will come and have a go; they have got one or two
decent young players coming through so they will come and enjoy the occasion
and we'll look forward to it as much as the City players will look forward to it."
And when asked about last season's derby at the council house, he said
"That's history; when you win a game you move on and when you lose a game
you have to move on.
"At home we fancy our chances against most teams. The way they play, they will come and have a go. Kevin Keegan's a manager I have a lot of time for, they have one or two decent young players coming through so they will come and enjoy the occasion and we'll look forward to it as much as the City players will look forward to it."
