Fergie “Everyone at Manchester United wants Albion to stay up. It’s an unfortunate thing but we have to try to get second place. I’ve said in my programme notes for the game that every United fan will pray they stay up because Bryan was such a fantastic player and a very popular man while he was here.
“Albion have a home game against Portsmouth on the last day of the season and, hopefully, they might still survive. But they really need Palace and Southampton to draw on Saturday. Norwich could get a result from their game against Birmingham but it won’t be easy. I hope Albion do it.”
