Villa boss Martin O'Neil is desperate for left-back cover after Wilfred Bouma sustained a broken ankle in their Intertoto Cup win last weekend and will be sidelined for about six months.

The Daily Mail is reporting that O'Neil could be tempted into making a move for Silvestre with a possible loan deal for the French defender being talked about.
