VAN PERSIE INJURED?
Van Persie is set to miss Sunday's clash with Manchester United. Arsenal's Dutch strike ace faces a week on the sidelines after suffering a knock in training.
But his absence means Togo hitman Emmanuel Adebayor, who bagged the winner at United in September, is being lined up to start at The Emirates.
United will not be pleased to see Adebayor in the starting line-up after he caused them plenty of problems at Old Trafford. Rio Ferdinand said:
“I thought Adebayor played really well for them. I'd say he is the toughest player I've faced this season
“Arsenal controlled the game earlier in the season and I thought Adebayor played really well for them. He's certainly the player to have given us the most problems because he's got good movement and skill.
“If you're complacent going into any game then you're in for a rude awakening. You can't be like that at a club like this because there is always someone waiting to take your place.
“And with the quality we have here, once somebody is in, it can be very difficult to displace them.”
