United were no good in Europe last term, they dropped out of the Champions League in the group stages, before going out of the Europa Cup, although that may have been done on purpose.
And to rub salt into the wounds they missed out on the league title by just one injury time goal by Manchester City.
The Domestic league is one of the targets for United boss Alex Ferguson who is demanding better from his players this time around and Valencia has set his sites on European glory.
Valencia told the Daily Star: "All the players are feeling good about the new season and there is a great team spirit amongst everyone.
"I love being part of this team. I have some good friends here and I laugh a lot with guys like (Patrice) Evra, Nani, Anderson, Bebe and Chicharito.
"Everybody in the group has a laugh together but when we have to work, we take things seriously.
"I'd love us to win all the competitions we play in, particularly the Premier League and Champions League."
