Manucho has not played in 75 per cent of his countries matches over the last two years and has been denied a work permit to play for United this year.
However, United have loaned the young striker out to Greek side Panathinaikos until June and manager Alex Ferguson is confident that the club will gain a work permit in time for him to play for United next season.
"Given that he played for Angola and did so well at the African Nations Cup, we will re-apply for his work permit in the summer and hopefully next year he could play for us," the United boss has said.
