"I'm enjoying my time at United, I love being here and that's not changed," he told the clubs official website.
"Being part of a successful team is great and to be part of the tradition that goes along with that is an honour in itself.
"To have the opportunity to stay here for another four or five years would be fantastic."
Meanwhile, Brown looks finally prepared to accept a new contract at Old Trafford having previously turned down the offer of a new deal. He had been linked with a possible January move to Newcastle.
"There's no other club for Wes Brown. He's a Manchester United player and we were always quietly confident he would sign," manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said.
