TRANSFER TARGET PREFERS MADRID

Manchester United and Real Madrid are getting set to tussle over landing Bordeaux midfielder Rio Mavuba. Unoited have offered 11 million for the player at the end of the season.This offer may very well appeal to Bordeaux, who would like to hang on to the player until the end of the season. Madrid are offering less, but they are offering it now and hope to convince Bordeaux to cash in on the player.

Mavuba himself is keeping a dignified silence, but sources close to the player think he would prefer to move to Real Madrid.
