United are believed to be favourites to land Ajax fullback Hatem Trabelsi.

Ajax coach Ronald Koeman confirmed last week that he expects Trabelsi to leave the club on a Bosman at the end of the season. The Tunisia international has been linked with AC Milan and Juventus as well. But those close to the right fullback have said his preferred move would be to join United

Bayer Leverkusen's Brazilian World Cup winner Lucio has revealed he is willing to sit down and talk about a move if a big club such as Manchester United or Chelsea make a bid.

"If a big club comes in for me and matches Bayer's valuation I am willing to sit down and talk," Lucio said in an interview with German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.

"Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus and Chelsea are big clubs."
