Now at Spurs Gustavo Poyet could have scored the goals that ends Liverpool's title hopes
Gerard Houllier's side lost out 1-0 to Spurs, Gus Poyet with the only goal of the game. The Reds were outplayed and although they had their chances in the end it was a comfortable win for the North London side.

Liverpool desparately needed to win in order to keep the pressure on Arsenal. United now have a chance to go second two points behind the Gunners having played a game more. But first they must beat relegation threatened Ipswich Town.

If the Gunners drop points against either Bolton or Everton and then lose to United then the Red Devils will be chapions providing that they win all their games.

Arsenal don't play until Monday, they face Bolton Wanderers.
