The Spaniard says he cannot wait to mix it with the United defence and senses that he could get off the mark and open his Chelsea goal account.
But he has yet to find the net in a blue shirt yet since his stupidly overpriced move from Liverpool came about and if he goes about games like he has done so far, I can’t see United having much to worry about.
Even so, Torres said to the Telegraph: "They have brilliant centre backs and always the motivation is high when you play against them.
"You want to play well against these players to show you can do it, and (Nemanja) Vidic and (Rio) Ferdinand were always a big challenge for me. Some people prefer big players not to be playing but I prefer to play against these kinds of players."
Lucky for us that Ferdinand is out of tonight’s game then.
