TOO MUCH PRESSURE

"It's vital we get a run going and restore confidence before the derby," said Keegan, "because that's the game the fans and everyone else are looking at already. We had a great season last year to earn the right to play United and we have to make sure we do ourselves justice when the time comes for us."

Keegan knows he is under pressure: "That's the way it is in football these days. Every division has seven or eight managers under pressure for different reasons. And there's a big fear now of falling out of the Premiership because people look at what has happened to the likes of Leicester, Derby and, more seriously, Bradford. I've had a lot more good times than bad times, but the pressure will never relent for any boss. Some can be under pressure when they're fifth or sixth, so you're definitely going to feel it if you're 17th. I do understand the concerns of the fans because this has been a yo-yo club and their fear is that this could be another one of those seasons."
