The draw for the Champions league third qualifying round takes place this morning at 11:00 BST. United along with Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Feyenoord, Celtic, Inter, AC Milan and Newcastle for the draw at UEFA's Swiss headquarters in Nyon. Amongst the unseeded clubs United will probably want to avoid Sporting Lisbon, Auxerre and Fenerbahce.
Chief executive Peter Kenyon and secretary Ken Merrett will be at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon when the draw is made. The games will be played over two legs on August 13 or 14.
In case you have forgotten United need to qualify as they didn't finish in the top two of last years Premiership. However the last time the Reds had to qualify for the Champions League was in 1999. so lets hope it's a good omen.
