From The Mirror:
Manchester United have been told they face another threat to their powerbase - from Sale Sharks rugby club.
Sale's chief executive Niels de Vos believes fans are becoming disillusioned with football and are instead turning to rugby.
Sale's Boxing Day game against Northampton at Edgeley Park sold out in record time and de Vos is convinced that Manchester can no longer be considered a football city.
"Sale are favourites to qualify for the knock-out stages in Europe - something our football neighbours have failed to do this season," de Vos said.
"Rugby is benefiting from fans becoming disenchanted with football."
Shyeah right.
