Interview in the Sunday Times:
"I fell out with Alex a couple of times over little things I would love to readdress. Once, he wouldn’t let me play for England in Czechoslovakia, and once I had a couple of drinks on the day before a game and he sent me home. Things happened, but that’s life. You live and learn and get on with it, and if I see him again, I’ll shake his hand. He thought I was a decent enough player to spend a bit of money on, but I couldn’t repay his faith in me. I wanted to be the one to help the club win their first League title for years, but with the injuries, it wasn’t to be."
No longer a postman, he's recently been cold calling at houses trying to sell lottery tickets.
