The tabloids claim that United are trying to sign the Brazilian Jean Carlos Chera who plays for Associacao Desportiva Atletica, a small club in the south of the country.
The club's president Adilson Batista Prado, said: "Seven or eight European clubs have already contacted us to know more about Jean.
"They want to know what he is all about and I tell them he's a phenomenon, probably the best player to come out of Brazil."
United have apparently asked for videos of him but the player is only nine years old.
