and Sven "are different characters, their relationship is one of
considerable mutual respect" and that they "got on very
well".
Speaking in the Telegraph he also said:
"Sven is as committed to England as he has ever been.
"This period has been - and is - a test for him.
"England managers need to be resilient and Sven is one of
the most resilient managers I have ever met. Perhaps it
helps not being English.
"When people say Sven is not passionate, I disagree. He
cares passionately about success for England. He is more
open when he is not in front of a public audience.”
