"For us the match at Old Trafford is a final," he told skysports.com.
"We want to continue in the Champions League because we need to win there. It will not be easy but we go with a lot of confidence and without fear.
"In Lisbon we did not deserve to get beat, the match should have been a draw and now we need to take our chances for revenge in England."
"To play at Old Trafford is magnificent, but to win there would fulfil the dream of any player," he said,
"Sporting Lisbon is a young team with a lot of confidence and we are prepared to fight in any stadium.
"We do not go to Manchester with a losing mentality but with a mission to surprise."
He also hopes United field a weakened team.
"If the likes of Nani, Cristiano Ronaldo and Rooney do not play against us, it will be big news but in their squad any players are able to create problems for Sporting, Man U are one of the best teams in Europe today."
