players are needed just to keep City where they are:
"There is one thing absolutely clear as far as I am
concerned - and it has to be said - if we get another top-
class goalkeeper and another top-class midfielder we are
only where we are now, because we are losing Peter
Schmeichel and probably Marc Vivien Foe. The club and the
supporters have got to understand that if we go and get
another goalkeeper, which we have to do given the Nicky
Weaver situation, and then a midfielder of the pedigree of
Foe - who is established, international class and
experienced - then we are only going to be where we are now.
We are not going to move forward anywhere.”
