Solari decided to stay in Madrid after new Real coach Jose Antonio Camacho assured him he was part of his plans and played him as a substitute in the Champions League qualifier against Wisla Krakow.
"It is true that Manchester United were interested in me and there was I chance I would leave," the 28-year-old told Spanish newspaper Marca.
"However, by playing me for ten minutes against Wisla, Camacho and the club showed that I am still important to Real Madrid."
Although Solari is content to stay with Madrid at the moment, the situation may change next summer when his contract expires.
