"Andrei was extremely quick, powerful, direct and a danger to any side we played in the early 1990s. What impressed me was how quick he was from a standing start while he also had electrifying pace when receiving the ball on the move.
"Andrei's arrival in 1991 coincided with the start of what has been the most successful period in United's history. And one of the reasons we did so well was that we had three out and out wide players in the side, Ryan Giggs, Andrei and myself. It was unusual for any side to have three wingers and we were all quick.
"In that period we would not only win games, but more often than not by three, four or more goals. It was definitely a great time to be a United player.”
