'CENSORS demanded a cut in the new Scooby Doo movie to take out a LESBIAN kissing scene,' reports the Sun.
'Bosses were told to leave the shot on the cutting-room floor if they wanted kiddies to be able to see the film. The offending part shows Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar, who plays Daphne, snogging Linda Cardellini brainbox Velma.
It comes after their souls are spirited away from their bodies on mysterious Spooky Island and replaced by a pair of lovers.
A source said: "At the film's first screening the censors were horrified by the kissing scene. "They were shocked and said it was highly inappropriate for family viewing. It has now been edited out and will not be seen."
The £70million film, due to hit our cinemas next month, is based on the cartoon classic of a gang of nosey ghostbusters and their scaredy-cat hound Scooby doo.'
