Paul Scholes on MUTV:
"It's a lot of weight off my shoulders. It's a decision I have made and it's gone, it's forgotten about and I'm just looking forward to playing for United now.
"There's no guarantee that because I'm not playing for England anymore I'm automatically going to play better for United, but I hope that's the case.
"It has been on my mind for a while and it was right to do it now. I enjoyed playing for England but you're away from home quite a lot when you're involved and happily I won't be doing that anymore."
