The Barcodes are unhappy with the choice of ref for Saturday's match. Uriah Rennie is set to be the man in charge come Saturday lunch time but Shearer and Co. aren't to happy.

Although Newcastle are not expected to make an official complaint there are rumours they have unofficially approached referee supremo Philip Don saying that Rennie is an inappropriate choice.

Why all the whinging you ask. Well out of the 13 matches he has officiated for the Geordies they have won only twice and in the last eight they have lost seven and salvaged a draw from the other. And perhaps we shouldn't mention he once sent Alan 'honestly I'm not in it for the money' Shearer off.
