Ryan Giggs, as is the norm it seems, is preparing for a career in football management by throwing himself in to an intensive coaching course in Turkey. Giggs will travel to Turkey for the U20 World Cup for eight days as he bids to secure his UEFA Pro Licence coaching badge.
Giggs will complete this, successfully one would predict, whilst his team-mates soak up the sun on some of the best beaches around the world. If he achieves this goal, Giggs will become the first British footballer to complete the compulsory qualifications for Europe’s top jobs whilst still playing.
Giggs, who has already gained his UEFA A and B licences and is halfway through his elite licence, may just qualify in time to be a part of the new United boss' back room team before the season ends. Such a move would come as a major relief to many of the United faithful who are concerned that a large part of the established Carrington backroom team have moved on.
