Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to land a hat-trick of personal records tonight - with a little help from his inspirational friend.
The Real Madrid striker, who is set to be crowned La Liga's top scorer in his first season, believes David Beckham is the best player he has ever played alongside, at Manchester United and Madrid.
The Dutchman insisted: "It's been an incredible season. The title race is coming to an amazing climax and you always see the big stars show their class.
"And in this I'm referring to Becks. What he has done in the last few months goes beyond the imagination.
"Becks has even shocked me - in the most positive way. He's playing the best football of his life. I know because I train with him and I play with him."
Ruud went on: "I rate him so highly because he can pass the ball to me from anywhere on the pitch, so accurately and with such speed that it's a deadly weapon against defenders.
"He helped me score so many goals in my time at Old Trafford.
