RVN: "Last season's game has gone - it's history now as far as I am concerned and it just isn't in my thoughts anymore.
"We played them at Highbury later in the season anyway and also met them in the FA Cup semi-finals so for me it has gone, it is finished.
"Everybody knows what happened but there is no point in still talking about it. I have moved on and I'm sure we will never see anything like that again. I would prefer to concentrate more on trying to beat Arsenal, that is the most important thing for us now because it is a game that we must win.
"We believe we can win and that is our main target. Their record is important to them but it doesn't matter at all to us - all that matters to us is that we win and close the gap."
Ashley Cole:
"As a team, we didn't think we were that bad - but then that happened at Old Trafford.
"So a few of the lads calmed down and realised we had to keep 11 men on the pitch.
"And with younger players coming through at Arsenal, I see myself as one of the senior players. So people look to me as one of those who has to stand up and be counted - and not get sent off."
And Cole reckons that the fall-out from last season's showdown will mean that this afternoon's epic match-up will not boil over.
"There won't be any fighting this time ... both teams got punished and learnt their lesson," Cole added.
"We don't want to lose any games this season and a lot of people say United can't win the title if they don't beat us."
