"We certainly believe he will be staying with the club next year," Gill confirmed.
"He signed a new long-term contract and there is two further years to go on that. He is part of our squad which we are looking to improve in the summer.
"If you are looking to improve your squad, you are not going to sell the goalscorer who can deliver 25 to 30 goals a season.
"He is very much part of our plans and we are looking forward to him playing a part in what should be a successful season."
