Keano has dropped a hint that he may quit before his contract expires in 2006

"In terms of my physical shape, all I can do is look at the next match, because injuries do take their toll in the end," said Keane.

"I think I'm going to have to quit sooner rather than later. I really haven't got a clue when I'll retire, but I think it's unrealistic to think I'll be playing on into my mid-30s.

"I've got three years left on my contract and most people would think that would be it. It might be before that or it might be after."

"I'm taking things day by day. When you get to 31, you think 'I need to get as many trophies under my belt as I can', because you never know how much longer you have left."
