Rooney WILL Play - Fergie

The United striker has overcome the effects of a virus he contacted during the tour to South Africa and will be in the United squad for the match against Kevin Keegan's side at Old Trafford on Sunday.

"Wayne Rooney is fit and he will play on Sunday, which is good news for us," Fergie told reporters on Friday afternoon.

"He's trained all week and has done very well. He even trained last Sunday on the morning of the Community Shield."
