Rooney Scoops Fans Award

The United and England striker won the poll ahead of Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry and Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.

"To be voted player of the year is a great feeling and I'd like to thank all the fans who voted for me," Rooney told the FA's official website.
