"I'm obviously disappointed to get injured when I have done but life goes on and hopefully I can get fit.
"Obviously everyone is disappointed for me but I'm a strong lad and I've got support from everyone - hopefully I can get myself back fit.
"There's been a lot of stuff all over the TV and in the papers but you've got to blank that out.
"It's nice that people care about you but you've got to try to concentrate on doing your work and getting yourself right.
"I know football is a physical game and unfortunately for me it's happened at a bad time.
"I'm a young lad. Any player wants to play in World Cups and I'm the same.
"I've got to be strong and if it's not to be then I'm sure I'll have more tournaments to play after that.
"I am hoping - but it is not the end of the world!"
