Rooney In Race Against Time

The United striker had looked to have shrugged off the calf injury he sustained during the recent Ukraine v England World Cup qualifier but United boss Sir Alex Fergsuon has said that he will wait until the last minute before deciding whether Rooney is fit enough for the Anfield clash.
"He is always desperate to play, that's the nature of the boy," Fergie has siad.
"Of course, you can't let that cloud the realistic side of things.
"It's going to be important how he does in training on Saturday.
"We'll see if Wayne does train on Saturday and then we'll have a better idea."
