"Obviously Chelsea have a lot of money and some players see that as a good opportunity but I chose United because it was the best move for me.
"I really didn’t fancy going to live in London. I wanted to stay close to home. Once I knew United were interested there was only place I was going.
"Signing for Manchester United, there was obviously a lot more pressure on me than when I was at Everton. I had to understand that really quickly. I've also realised that you've got to look after yourself if you're going to be able to play the best you can. Being around the likes of Gary Neville and Roy Keane has helped, seeing how they look after themselves, what they eat, how they're preparing for games."
