admitted defeat in the race for Wallwork.
"Ronnie was someone I was always very keen to sign because I was
impressed with his attitude but you can understand him wanting to play in the
Premiership.
"We were willing to match what West Brom were offering. That wasn't the
problem, but he just felt dropping down a division was not the right thing to do
and we have to respect that."
It now seems that Wallwork will move to West Brom once his United contract
expires on Sunday.
