RISDALE GRATEFUL FOR THE MONEY
'I'm satisfied today I've done the best job for Leeds United. If you invest £18million and get £30million you've done a good job - especially if the player says he doesn't want to play for you again. I didn't want to sell him but at the end of the day they're the only club who came in for him.£30million is a lot of money and when you get a club captain who says he doesn't want to play for you you have to get on and strengthen the squad.'
Ridsdale revealed boss Terry Venables will be given cash to improve the Leeds squad - and expects three or four arrivals at Elland Road in the next few days.
He said: 'Terry knows how much he has to invest and he will do so in the next few days so we can have a real tilt at the title.Terry and I have agreed a list in the last few hours and I'll be working on bringing them in later in the week.'
