Ferdinand was forced to be substituted during the FA Cup sixth round win at Fulham at the weekend after picking up an ankle injury but United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that he has recovered in time for the match against Jose Mourinho's side at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

"Ferdinand and O'Shea trained today (Tuesday)," Fergie has said.

"Both are fit and both will play."
