RIO CAN'T SEE HOWARD'S END

Rio Ferdinand has been impressed by Tim Howard’s start to
his career at United, and has tipped him to make the
goalkeeping position his own:

"Tim has settled in really well and on the form he has shown
so far, you can't leave him out of the side. He has come
here from a different country with a different footballing
environment to a much more intense league and done
phenomenally well. If he keeps this up, he could be here for
a decade, and I'm sure that's his intention.

"When you have someone who comes out and claims crosses and
corners like he does, it is brilliant for the defenders. It
gives the whole back four a lot of confidence and we have
been feeling that throughout the season. He works really
hard in training and is reaping the rewards from that.''
