“I’ve yet to reach the standards I’ve set myself. I think
it’s obvious I’ve not been able to reproduce the form that I
showed at the World Cup. I’ve had both good and bad games
and that is not the standards I’ve set for myself.
“As a player you can always improve and I have to admit that
last season was one of my most inconsistent in the terms of
the way I’ve played. But I moved to a new club and I needed
to get myself sorted. Hopefully this season fans will see a
more progressive side of my game.”
