'We scrapped our way through a 1-0 win over them in April but they were a different side then and we were getting clear of relegation. This time they came with a full-strength side, barring Roy Keane and Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Alex didn't mess about too much. We looked dodgy to begin with. Arjan de Zeeuw has just come back from injury and was all over the place at the start, but we got over that and hung in there. I told them at half-time we could win it even though we had lost Diomansy Kamara and Patrik Berger with injuries.'
'United are going to be bitterly disappointed because they must have seen this as a great chance to keep bouncing back after the Arsenal result - but our fans know we can give anybody a game now.'
'Alex knew it would be tough. He knows a lot about us but he'll be fine and I wouldn't write him off yet for the title.'
